Hello, we’re Yolanda and Manuel and for years, we’ve held a quiet, deeply personal dream in our hearts: to become parents. We’ve imagined what it would feel like to hold our child for the first time, to hear laughter fill our home, and to build a life centered around love, family, and all the little moments that come with it. 

But our journey to get here has been far more difficult that we ever expected.

After trying to conceive naturally, we received  heartbreaking news at the start of 2025. Our explained that because my hormone levels weren’t aligning with what my body and bloodwork were showing, our best chance at building our family would be through the help of an egg donor and a specialist. It was a moment that changed everything. One that left us grieving the path we thought our journey would take, while trying to find that strength to accept a new one. 

Before arriving to this point, we’ve already walked a long an emotional road. We’ve gone through IVF and multiple rounds of IUI, holding onto every bit of hope we’re given. Our doctors encourage us to keep going, reminding us that sometimes all it takes is one follicle, one egg, one chance. So we’ve held on to that hope with everything we have. 

Each cycle has brought us excitement, anticipation, and so many dreams… and each negative result brings heartbreak that is too hard to put into words. These experiences have tested us in ways we’ve never imagined, but they have also deepened our love, strengthened our bond, and remind us  just how much we want to become parents. 

Even through the pain and uncertainty, we haven’t given up. We truly believe that this next step- using an egg donor- is our most hopeful path forward. It represents new beginnings, a renewed sense of possibility, and a chance to finally grow the family we’ve dreamed of for so long.

However, this path also comes with overwhelming financial challenges. The cost of an egg donor cycle (medical procedures, legal fees, and agency costs) is significant, and despite everything we’ve already invested emotionally and financially, it’s more that we can manage on our own.

Sharing this is not easy. It’s hard to ask for help, and even harder to open up about something we’ve held so close to our hearts for so long. This journey is deeply personal and letting others in takes vulnerability we’re still learning to find. 

With open hearts and humility, we’re reaching out for support. Any contribution, no matter the size, or simply sharing our story means more to us than we can express. It brings us one step closer to the moment we’ve been holding onto through it all: becoming parents.
